Cement ship SS Palo Alto in Aptos, CA
The SS Palo Alto, aka “the cement ship” was permanently docked in 1930 at the end of a pier in Aptos, CA (where I grew up), and served as a resort gambling and dance destination for a year before storm damage made it usable for nothing more than a fishing spot.
California and Santa Cruz February 2010
I went to Santa Cruz on February 24, and brought my laptop and MiFi so I could telecommute from there. I parked by the beach and took a few minutes to snap some photos.
