My pictures from the 2002 and 2003 BricksWest conferences are available here. BricksWest was a conference of LEGO fans young and old, held President's Day weekend (February) in 2002 and 2003, in Carlsbad, CA in and around the Legoland California theme park.
Bill Volbrecht, a Master Builder from the Legoland Model Shop, gave a presentation at the conference (Grand Pacific Palisades Hotel, across the street from Legoland) on Sunday. I then went to the park and toured Miniland and other park exhibits.
Pictures taken at the Legoland Grand Pavilion during the setup on Friday.

Pictures taken at the Windmill Conference Center Sunday morning, during the two panels I was on: SNOT (Studs Not On Top) building techniques, with Frank Fliz, Derek Schin, and fellow BayLUG member Mark Benz; and Sculptures and Mosaics, along with Adrian Drake and Legoland master model builder Bill Volbrecht.
Pictures taken at the Windmill Conference Center Saturday morning, and at the park all afternoon. The Brickheap Wars battle took place in the Technic building at Legoland. My team lost. Afterwards, Holly and I toured the Park, ending up back at the Test Track Diner.
Pictures taken at the conference (Grand Pacific Palisades Hotel, across the street from Legoland) on Monday: Sculpture and Mosaic panel with Eric Harshbarger, Henry Lim, and me; the Brickheap Wars; and the closing ceremonies.
